When we were building our house, I would imagine my living room with large, unframed paintings full of color on my walls. Something "better than a framed picture". (No offense, KB, I still love your photo of Palmetto Bluff.) But once I got to pricing those large, unframed paintings, I almost had a heart attack. Dude, those things are STOOPID EXPENSIVE! So, I got to thinking.......
I hopped over to Art.com and found a poster, I'm sorry..."Art Print", I liked with a good size and good price. It was $21.99. SOLD!!
Then, I headed out to the big blue store for a piece of MDF and a picture hanging kit and then hit up my Hob Lob for this stuff.
Since the original "Art Print" was 27x27 and the largest MDF board I could find was 24x24 without having to buy an entire wall size one, I trimmed down the "print". Then I sprayed the MDF with some spray adhesive I had on hand and stuck the
I took the Brushstroke Mod Podge and a brush and got my Van Gogh on. This is what it looks like now....
A "Painting"!!!
I just attached the tiny screws that came with the picture hanging kits to the back of the MDF and wrapped the wire so I could hang it. In case you are new to MDF, it is HEAVY! I was nervous it would pull out those tiny screws, but as of today, it hasn't.

So there you have it. Champagne taste on a beer budget!
You know I LOOOOOVE that "Art Print"... And I am absolutely in love with the new pieces!!... Love love love!!!
