A light Bulb went off......

So I'm on my way to work yesterday and I look over and BAM! IT hit me.

Let's back up a bit......I have been doing some self-reflection work that I picked up in a class I was assigned to a few weeks ago. It's about how your attitude reflects in your work and how it influences the lives of others around you. Not "rocket surgery" by any means and I'm not quite sure why this jack-leg actually got hired to come do this seminar/class...but I went with it for the benefit of missing 1/2 day in the office. So in the mornings, for fun if you will, I ride in silence and try to pep myself up for the attitude I need to reflect to my peers. (ok...not every morning but I was practicing on this particular morning...)

At any rate, since I am quite convincing in talking my day up, I have been wondering why I am still in such a blakkkkkkk mood when I get to work every morning. I mean, I ride down the road with a smile plastered on my face that resembles the Joker's and chant cheers about how great my job is and how lucky I am to have one. My fellow morning commuters have been seen staring at me like I need to be committed.....(seems to be the general consensus around here)

But during a brief pause at the stop light, I look over and THE light bulb went off and IT hits me like a tons of, um, nuggets?......

IT'S THE DAMN CHICKEN TRUCK. Carrying the poor chickens to their demise. With their little chicken feet hanging out of the tiny cages on the chicken truck, flapping in the wind.

And I realize, that I every day, for the past 3.5 years, I have had to ride to work next to the condemned chickens. NO WONDER I am so bummed.

It feels good to have some clarity!
